If you like to rock and roll all night and party every day, you should know that there's a new place near the Vegas Strip where you can...and you can play miniature golf there, too.
LICK IT UP!
I wouldn't mind trying this once because A) I'm a KISS fan, and B) I enjoy an occasional game of miniature golf, but the whole thing just looks...interesting. Trust me, if there's anything Gene Simmons can put the KISS name on, he'll do it. He makes no excuses for being a man who is looking for ways to make $$$money$$$ anytime, anywhere.
Located near the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino (which I think is very fitting), it's "off the beaten path" from regular Strip haunts. I personally don't care for the Hard Rock or it's uber-party atmosphere; however, I may have to seek this out sometime because the photos make it look very different from any other miniature golf game I've ever seen, and I like what I see.
Of course there's tons of KISS memorabilia for sale in the gift shop. I told you Gene Simmons doesn't miss a chance to make every dollar he can.

Las Vegas night view from space
Some cities have lots of lights, but I think this city has the prettiest lights of all.
Because it's Vegas, of course.
If you're trying to get a handle on where everything is, downtown is the bright spot near the center of the photo, and the Strip is the much BIGGER bright splotch spread out to the left of it.

Link to website: Las Vegas Casino Property Maps
In an effort to make it a bit easier for some of you to get around Las Vegas, here's a link to a site that has maps for most of the hotels and casinos, including downtown and off-Strip casinos. You can view them in JPG or PDF formats.
Help! I'm lost!
Please note that I think this would be a good site to check out BEFORE your trip, because once you're there you don't really want to carry around a bunch of map printouts everywhere, do you?
My best advice for finding your way around any particular Las Vegas casino or hotel is to walk around and familiarize yourself with the layout before you commit to either gambling in a particular location or deciding where to eat. If you have tickets to a show in the hotel, knowing where the theater is located and how much time it takes to get to the doors is important when they want you there and in your seat by a certain time, too. Also, there may be some hidden gems that you didn't think of before, and you might find something you might have missed otherwise. Or you might decide that you don't like the looks of a particular restaurant or area, after all.
I must say that, even after numerous Vegas trips, I still get turned around and/or lost in The Venetian and Palazzo on a regular basis. I could probably have a map in hand and still manage to get lost in either one of these places. Being that these hotels/casinos are both owned by Sheldon Addelson, I can only assume that he's singled me out to try and get me to spend more money there.
It hasn't worked yet.

I am certainly an advocate for comfortable clothes and shoes whenever and wherever I travel, and, especially when traveling to Vegas, layers are necessary on the plane, in the hotels and casinos, and on the Strip. Temperatures can vary wildly from place to place as well as from inside to outside on any given day, so I always have an assortment of cardigans, sweaters and/or long and short-sleeved tops to choose from. Lighter fabrics, and the ability to layer them at different times of the day or night, make my whole trip a lot more enjoyable.
As far as shoes go, I always say comfort is key. If you plan on walking ANYWHERE in Vegas - and I'm talking about between hotels, to a show, to a restaurant, etc. - you should seriously think of comfort over fashion. Besides the fact that most everything is much farther away than you 'think' it is, the surfaces you walk on can vary vastly from place to place, as well, and make it difficult to walk for long periods of time. I would much rather take an extra pair of shoes in my carry-on bag and go for maximum comfort than look cool for 10 minutes; no one else cares about my shoes.
